About the Opportunity

As the Assistant Front Office Manager, you’ll support the effective operation of RACV Inverloch Resort, by taking a hands-on leadership role across Front Office and collaborating closely with key departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.

RACV is investing in an exciting expansion of Inverloch Resort, introducing a new 36-room premium accommodation wing designed to enhance the guest experience and support continued tourism growth in Gippsland.

You’ll help lead the day-to-day operations, coach and develop team capability, and drive service excellence — while ensuring procedures, safety standards, and compliance requirements are met. Reporting to the Resort Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

Lead the smooth daily operation of the Front Office, managing people, resources and costs to meet business objectives
Provide hands-on leadership, coaching and direction to drive team performance and service excellence
Ensure SOPs, systems and processes are followed and continuously improved for efficiency and guest experience
Champion a safe workplace, ensuring compliance with RACV OHS/HSW policies and procedures
Deliver exceptional member and guest experiences, fostering a strong member‑first culture and repeat visitation
Resolve guest feedback, complaints and complex situations professionally, including intoxicated guests and relocations
Support workforce planning through rostering, UKG approvals, award compliance, budgeting and labour optimisation
Lead by example and partner with Duty Managers to build capability, complete mandatory training and drive continuous improvements in a value led organisation

What you’ll need to be successful

Prior hotel front office management experience, at Duty Manager level or above, within a multi‑outlet hotel/resort, essential
Sound understanding of hotel/resort operations, guest NPS, managing guest feedback, systems and procedures
Proficient in PMS Opera, or if not Opera a similar PMS system, and MS Office applications
Demonstrated people leadership experience in promoting morale & encouraging teamwork, recruitment, performance management, coaching and team development
Sound commercial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost control
Confident leader who can build effective relationships, manage complex situations and make decisions under pressure
Excellent communication and attention to detail, with professional presentation
Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, public holidays and overnights when required
