As demand for Islamic finance continues to grow across Australia, we are seeking a driven, professional and relationship-focused Islamic Finance Broker to join our expanding team.
About the Role
As an Islamic Finance Broker, you will:
- Meet with clients to understand their financial objectives and borrowing capacity
- Conduct detailed fact-finding and financial analysis
- Recommend suitable Shariah-compliant finance solutions based on client goals and circumstances
- Structure finance applications to suit client needs and long-term financial positions
- Prepare and lodge finance applications with supporting documentation
- Liaise with lenders, solicitors, assessors, agents and other stakeholders throughout the process
- Manage applications from enquiry through to settlement
- Maintain compliance with responsible lending obligations and internal compliance procedures
- Complete credit proposals, preliminary assessments and compliance documentation
- Build and maintain strong referral and client relationships
- Attend networking events, business development meetings and professional development sessions
- Provide ongoing post-settlement support, including reviews and refinancing discussions
What We’re Looking For
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency preferred
- Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in mortgage broking, banking, finance or sales highly regarded
- Understanding of basic Islamic finance principles and ethical finance concepts
- Familiarity with concepts such as Ijarah, Murabaha and Diminishing Musharakah highly regarded
- Strong understanding of Australian lending practices and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Self-motivated with a professional and entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Passion for helping clients achieve property ownership outcomes
- Experience working within multicultural communities is highly regarded
