VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022, we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.

We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.

Annual salary range: Commensurate with experience

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available to lead key marketing programs and drive commercial growth across VicRoads' Personalised Plates, High Value Plates and emerging marketplace opportunities. As Marketing Manager, you'll own the marketing outcomes for a unique portfolio of premium and prestige products, developing and executing strategies that increase demand, customer acquisition, revenue and customer lifetime value.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you'll work closely with commercial, digital, CRM, product and customer experience teams to identify new growth opportunities, shape marketing investment decisions and influence portfolio direction. You'll lead complex initiatives from strategy through to execution and optimisation, balancing long-term growth planning with hands-on delivery to achieve commercial outcomes, while coaching and developing a direct report to build capability and drive high performance.

From developing integrated marketing strategies and growth initiatives through to customer acquisition, engagement and performance optimisation, you'll influence key investment decisions and deliver marketing initiatives that drive commercial growth and customer value.

About You

You are a commercially minded marketing leader with a passion for turning strategy into action, delivering commercial outcomes and leading and developing team members. You bring a strong blend of strategic thinking, creativity and analytical rigour, with a proven ability to translate customer, market and commercial insights into measurable business outcomes.

With accountability for customer acquisition, revenue growth and marketing investment decisions, you thrive in environments where you can influence stakeholders, navigate ambiguity and take ownership of results. You bring a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery and are equally comfortable shaping long-term growth plans as leading execution and optimisation.

You are also a people leader who enjoys coaching and developing others, building capability and creating an environment where individuals and teams can perform at their best.

Experience and Capabilities

Proven experience leading portfolio, category or growth marketing for consumer brands where customer acquisition and demand generation are key growth drivers.
Demonstrated accountability for significant marketing budgets and commercial outcomes, including revenue growth, conversion and customer value.
Proven ability to operate with significant autonomy, influence senior stakeholders and contribute to investment and growth decisions.
Strong experience developing integrated brand, content, digital and lifecycle marketing strategies that drive acquisition and engagement.
Experience leading complex marketing initiatives from strategy through to delivery, optimisation and performance review.
Background in premium, prestige or aspirational consumer categories where personal identity, status or self-expression influence purchasing behaviour.
Experience partnering with CRM, media and digital teams to grow first-party audiences and increase customer lifetime value.
Ability to influence product, commercial and digital stakeholders to improve customer experience, conversion and growth outcomes.
A proactive, customer-focused leader who is comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing structure to evolving priorities.
