Position: Full-Time Cook
Location: Goolwa, SA
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 AUD

Are you a passionate chef who loves creating exceptional Indian cuisine? The Garden Tandoori in Goolwa is looking for a creative, dedicated cook to join our friendly team and help deliver unforgettable dining experiences to locals and visitors alike.

Cook Responsibilities:

Inspect ingredients to maintain high-quality standards.
Manage and monitor the temperatures of cooking equipment like ovens and tandoor ovens.
Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes.
Season food during cooking for optimum flavor.
Portion dishes, add garnishes, sauces, and plating details.
Store food safely in temperature-controlled environments.
Prepare meals for special dietary needs.
Assist with menu planning and estimating food quantities for service.
Train and guide other kitchen staff and apprentices.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: 1–2 years as a cook in a busy kitchen or restaurant environment.
Qualification: Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
Skills: Time management, attention to detail, and ability to thrive under pressure.
Leadership: Confidence in supervising a team and inspiring creativity.
Passion: A genuine love for cooking and delivering memorable food experiences.
