What’s in it for you?
- 4-hour shifts, 2-4 mornings per week (Tuesday – Friday)
- $40 per hour starting rate (move up to $45 at the start of 2027)
- Starting ASAP
- Paid mileage for travel at $0.85 per km
- On-the-job paid training is provided until you are ready to work independently.
- All the necessary photography equipment will be provided.
- We work from late February to December and school holidays off
- Working for a small company (Joining a team of three!) means you absolutely will not get lost in the system or be treated as a cog in a massive machine. Instead, you’ll be an integral part of a fast-growing business.
Must have working with children/Blue Card and driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Qualities We're Looking For:
- You are Brisbane based and are willing and able to travel across the Greater Brisbane area
- Experience photographing kids: You may be great with kids and know your way around a camera, or you might be a newborn, family or wedding photographer looking for mid-week work to boost your income.
- Personable: A people-person who can bring any child out of their shell (and also work with the adults in the room!).
- Great with Kids: A maestro at managing mini-mischief makers and getting their personalities to shine, whether that be loud and boisterous or shy and quiet.
- Cool Under Pressure: Your Zen level remains off the charts, even when surrounded by kiddie chaos.
- Fast Learner: Ready to dive into learning our systems and processes and building your skills both personally and professionally.
- Interest in Growth: Committed to personal and professional development. Happy to take on new challenges.
- Patience of a Saint: Capable of handling tears, laughter, and everything in between with a good-natured grin. Nothing is ever a problem, and it’s positivity above all (yes, after the shoot we can absolutely gossip about the difficult child or fussy staff member)
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in capturing photos, spotting crooked collars and stray boogies.
- Happy to play the fool: You’re great at being a bit of an idiot to get a shy smile, playing peek-a-boo to get a belly laugh, or singing "Baby Shark" in chorus to get a child comfortable.
Job Hours:
- 2-4 days per week from February to December
- Typical start on site around 7:45 am (this can mean leaving your home early depending where you live and where the shoot is)
- Finish around 12 pm (before the kiddos crash and burn!)
Job Responsibilities:
- Capture the best kindy photos in Queensland!
- Masterfully and calmly navigate the unpredictable world of children, from laughter to tears and everything in between.
- Travel to pre-schools across Brisbane (and yes, the job pays mileage!)
- Set up photography equipment on-site, turning each location into a mini photo studio (all equipment is provided).
- Collaborate with school staff to orchestrate the smooth flow of mini-models during photo sessions.
- Capture amazing and memorable photos that showcase the true personality of each child.
