About the Venue:
Quality Suites Pioneer Sands, located in Towradgi, is positioned on the northern side of Wollongong, just 55 minutes south of Sydney Airport. Offering 47 spacious apartment-style suites, including one and two-bedroom apartments, interconnecting rooms and accessible accommodation, the hotel provides guests with a comfortable "home away from home" experience.

Conveniently located close to Wollongong's beaches, cafés, restaurants, the University of Wollongong and Innovation Campus, the hotel welcomes a diverse mix of corporate, leisure and long-stay guests. With a strong focus on genuine hospitality and personalised service, the team pride themselves on creating memorable stays and delivering an exceptional guest experience every day.

About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and service-driven Guest Service Agent to join the Front Office team at Quality Suites Pioneer Sands on a casual basis.

As the face of the hotel, you'll play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by delivering warm, professional service from arrival through to departure. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Front Office while creating a welcoming and seamless experience for every guest.

This is a casual position offering a flexible rotating roster across Monday to Sunday, including mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming guests and completing efficient check-in and check-out procedures
Managing reservations and responding to guest enquiries
Answering and directing incoming telephone enquiries
Processing payments and completing daily reconciliations
Promoting and upselling hotel rooms and services
Resolving guest requests and concerns professionally and efficiently
Providing guests with information about the hotel and the local Wollongong and Illawarra area
Working closely with Housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
Maintaining hotel and brand service standards at all times

About You:

Previous hotel front office or reception experience is required
A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Professional presentation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience using Opera or a similar Property Management System (PMS) will be highly regarded
Strong knowledge of the local Wollongong and Illawarra area will be highly regarded
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Able to remain calm, professional and efficient in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability to work a rotating roster, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays
