Qualified electrical technician to support critical telecommunications infrastructure (power/solar systems, generators, hvac equipment) throughout the Townsville region.
This is the ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, values flexibility, and prefers being out in the field rather than confined to the same location every day. You’ll be trusted to manage your workload, plan your schedule and solve technical challenges while travelling through some of Queensland’s most scenic regional areas.

About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining the infrastructure that keeps communities connected. Your work will involve supporting and maintaining telecommunications power and environmental systems including

Telecommunications power systems

Solar power systems
-
Standby generators
-
HVAC and cooling equipment

Battery systems and associated infrastructure

Routine preventative maintenance
-
Fault finding and emergency breakdown response
-
Repairs, upgrades and network support activities

About You
You are a self-motivated technician who enjoys working independently, making decisions in the field and taking ownership of outcomes. You thrive in an environment where no two days are the same and enjoy travelling to different locations while solving technical problems ).

Current QLD Electrical licence

Current LVR CPR and First Aid

Current drivers licence

Construction white card
-
Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills

Good communication and customer service skills

Confidence working autonomously

Competent using digital tools and systems (Microsoft Suite, Maximo)

HVAC qualification (preferred or willing to undertake restricted licence to perform required works)

Must have full working rights in Australia
