About Us
JBS Australia, part of the global JBS business, is the largest and most respected meat and food processor in Australia with a strong portfolio of leading beef, lamb, pork, salmon and value-added products. Our Northern division operates five beef processing plants across Queensland and Northern NSW, producing more than 400,000 tonnes of beef products every year.

Located 12km south of Townsville, a major gateway to Queensland’s world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, the JBS Townsville processing facility is JBS Australia’s most northern operation. Cattle are sourced from a wide supply area, including the Northern Territory, north and north-western Queensland and packed into the AMH brand, the most trusted name in beef. The facility employs approximately 430 employees and processes approximately 900 head per day.

About the Role

Are you an experienced Forklift Driver with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Join our dynamic Townsville team as a forklift driver in the bustling food production industry!

This is a full-time position with annual salary not less than $71,481.00 plus superannuation.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Operate forklift: Move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials and merchandise within a warehouse, factory, or construction site.
Load and unload: Load and unload goods from vehicles like trucks and trailers.
Material handling: Stack, unstack, and store materials like boxes, crates, and pallets in designated areas.
Inventory management: Use radio frequency (RF) scanners to track inventory, pick orders, and maintain accurate inventory records.
Safety and maintenance: Perform daily safety checks on the forklift, report any defects or safety hazards, and ensure the equipment is clean and well-maintained.
Quality assurance: Check the condition of incoming and outgoing materials and ensure loads are properly stacked and secured.
Documentation: Complete forms, document the movement of goods, and handle paperwork like bills of lading.

About You
Forklift license is mandatory for operating a forklift, and VETASSESS Certificate is a must;
Key skills include attention to detail, spatial awareness, and the ability to work well in a team.
A strong commitment to safety and understanding of safe operating practices and regulations is crucial.
More than one-year experience in the same environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
The job requires the ability to operate the forklift for extended periods, which can involve sitting and standing
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
