CMTL Group is seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join the maintenance team at Mt Carlton Gold Mine in North Queensland.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a mechanical background who are looking to secure ongoing work within a busy mining operation.

About the Role
As a Trade Assistant, you will work alongside the maintenance team, providing support with the servicing and maintenance of fixed plant equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Duties include:
- Assisting Mechanical Fitters with maintenance activities
- Using forklifts to move equipment and materials
- General workshop and maintenance support
- Housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment
- Assisting with shutdown and preventative maintenance tasks
Essential Requirements
- Current Forklift Licence (Mandatory)
- Current Driver's Licence
- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant
- Mechanical background or experience working alongside trades
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
Highly Regarded
- Current EWP Licence
- Previous mining or fixed plant maintenance experience
