Dental Assistant (Periodontics Specialist Practice) | Townsville

Join our highly regarded Periodontics practice in Currajong, Townsville, where we focus entirely on delivering a high level of patient care. This is a superb opportunity to work with high-tech equipment in a modern, fully computerised environment, supporting a dedicated specialist team.

Your Role & Responsibilities

This role primarily involves clinical assisting, with occasional support for front desk duties.

Key Duties

Clinical Assisting - Working as a team with the periodontist to perform a wide variety of technical periodontal procedures in surgery.

Patient Care - Delivering outstanding customer service and specialist care to all patients. Answering patient queries and organising appointments (phone/in-person). Explaining treatment plans.

Administrative Support - Proof-reading and editing referral letters. Liaising with referring general dental practices. Performing general administration and clerical duties.

Practice Management - Managing stores and inventory.

Digital Literacy: High level of computer literacy and excellent administrative skills.

Organisation: Exceptional organisation, prioritising, and multi-tasking skills.
Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to deal professionally with all personality types.
