What your day could look like

As a Registered Nurse in Acute Mental Health, you'll play a vital role in supporting people through complex and often vulnerable moments. From delivering safe, person-centred care to collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, your work will directly shape recovery and wellbeing across the community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:
Delivering high-quality mental health care that supports recovery, safety, and meaningful outcomes
Partnering with patients, families, and the care team to guide thoughtful clinical decisions
Using your judgement to respond to changing needs and reduce risk in dynamic environments
Strengthening practice standards by sharing insights, supporting colleagues, and improving care approaches

Current registration (or eligibility) as a Registered Nurse in Australia
Demonstrated experience or strong capability in mental health nursing practice
Effective communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments
A commitment to safe, high-quality, evidence-based care

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate mental health qualifications and/or experience working in acute or complex care settings.
