What your day could look like
As a Security Officer, you'll be part of something bigger than a job- you'll help create a place where people feel safe, respected and supported during some of their most vulnerable moments. Set within a close-knit regional community, this role offers variety, connection and the chance to make a real difference, alongside a team that backs you every step of the way.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Creating a calm, visible presence that reassures patients, visitors and staff
Responding to incidents with confidence, using communication and de-escalation to achieve safe outcomes
Working alongside clinical teams to support safe, respectful care environments
Identifying risks early and taking action to prevent harm and strengthen safety
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who shows up with purpose. You stay steady under pressure, treat people with dignity, and know how to lead with both compassion and strength. You take pride in being someone others can rely on- whether it's supporting a colleague, helping someone in distress, or stepping into the unexpected. You're driven not just to do the job, but to make every interaction safer, kinder and more respectful.
This role offers more than variety- it offers a lifestyle. In a regional setting, you'll experience strong team connections, opportunities to grow your skills, and the satisfaction of serving a community where your work truly matters.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Current driver's licence and availability to work across a 24/7 roster
Experience in security, safety or a similar environment with strong situational awareness
Clear communication skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations
Sound judgement and confidence when responding to dynamic or high-pressure scenarios
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have a security qualification or experience in healthcare, mental health or high-risk environments.
Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage- helping create safer spaces where people feel supported, respected and cared for.
