Freycinet Lodge is an eco-lodge that sits within the world famous Freycinet National Park – a stone’s throw from the renowned Wineglass Bay on the picturesque East Coast of Tasmania. The Lodge consists of 70 rooms and a main lodge, thoughtfully constructed around a beautiful waterfront below The Hazards mountain range. Located approximately 2.5 hours from Hobart or Launceston, Freycinet Lodge neighbours the popular holiday town of Coles Bay.

Job Description

With your experience, create an impact on our guests in this hands-on and detail orientated role
Ensure our guests have a great experience and make holiday memories
Staff accommodation and meals package available

What you’ll do:

We are looking for a casual Guest Service Agent to join our team at Freycinet Lodge. You will provide an exceptional experience to our guests from reservation and throughout their stay, creating lifetime memories. On a daily basis you will:

Complete reception tasks such as taking bookings, preparing invoices, checking guests in and out
Answer phone and email enquiries promptly and professionally
Communicate with other departments to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals or to ensure guest needs are met

What you’ll bring:

Strong Guest Service/Front Office experience with sound knowledge of NewBook, RoomMaster, Opera or a similar booking system
A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
A positive, energetic attitude and the ability to thrive as part of a high-performing team
Certificate II in Hospitality (Operations) or equivalent experience
Strong problem-solving capability, including confident use of basic mathematical skills in the workplace
Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion
