Job Title: Senior Clinical Pharmacist (Grade 3) - Training and Service Development

About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Full Time position to cover Parental Leave for 12 months, at 80 hours per fortnight within the Pharmacy Department
You will be responsible for:
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, the delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services across inpatient wards, promoting evidence-based medication management, and contributing to service improvement initiatives. You will support workforce capability, clinical excellence, and the delivery of patient-centred care through education, mentorship, and the ongoing development of pharmacy services.
Classification for this position will range from SX6 – SX81 ($108,820.40 - $123,905.60 per annum pro rata)
What you’ll achieve:
- Manage a complex and varied clinical caseload across multiple clinical specialities
- Provide high level of clinical expertise with independent decision making
- Maintain clinical documentation, records and data as per discipline specific guidelines and RCH procedures
- Actively participate in, provide and contribute to continuous improvement and continuing education opportunities
- Lead on EMR optimisation within the pharmacy clinical service including development of smart phrases and improvements to workflow
Your skills and experience
- Registered to practice as a pharmacist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency & name appears on the register of the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- Proven capacity for clinical leadership in a team environment and ability to work well as a senior team member
- Experience in leading others, mentoring and training
- Post graduate Master of Clinical Pharmacy qualification or working towards it
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Hospital Pharmacy

About the Department
The Pharmacy Department is a team of around 70 staff including pharmacists, technicians, and administrators. Our supportive and collaborative teams include Outpatients, Children’s Cancer Centre, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical trials, and Medicines Information, HiTH and Sterile Services and the Pharmacy Business Unit.
