THE ROLE:
This site-based 8 days on 6 days off role is suited to practical, people-focused HSQE professional who enjoys working closely with operational leaders and frontline teams to manage risk, strengthen compliance, support food safety and hygiene standards, and contribute to positive safety culture.
As an HSQE Advisor, you will support village-based hospitality operations, working across accommodation, catering, cleaning and support services. You will provide practical HSQE advice, conduct risk assessments, inspections and audits, support incident investigation and hazard management, and help operational teams understand and apply Civeo’s systems and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of Civeo’s HSQE Integrated Management System at site level.
- Conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments across village operations.
- Monitor hazards, incidents, corrective actions and compliance trends.
- Coach and support managers, supervisors and frontline teams in safe work practices.
- Support food safety hygiene, housekeeping and quality assurance activities.
- Assist with toolbox talks, inductions, training and compliance trends.

- We are looking for someone who can combine technical HSQE knowledge with strong communication, practical problem-solving and the ability to build trust with operational teams.
Essential:
- Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Work Health and Safety, or related area.
- Current Australian driver’s license.
- Experience in a safety, quality, risk, compliance or related operational role.
- Sounds understanding of risk management, hazard identification, incident investigation, and corrective action management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a remote FIFO village environment.
- Meet the requirements of a pre-employment medical.
Highly regarded:
- Diploma in Work Health and Safety
- Lead Auditor, ICAM investigation, Food Safety, Training & Assessment or Risk Management qualifications.
- Experience in hospitality, acommodation, catering, mining, resources or remote operations.
- Familiarity with IMS, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, HACCP or food safety assurance.
