The College is seeking applications from committed and dynamic Christian Teacher’s Aides (Pre-K to
Year 6 Learning Support) to perform a wide variety of functions under the supervision and direction
of the Advanced Learning and Learning Support Coordinator PreK-6.

Job purpose:
To provide the College primary community with professional and high quality learning support

Reports to: Advanced Learning and Learning Support Coordinator PreK-6

Classification:
Classroom Support Services Level 3.1 Independent Schools NSW (Professional and Operational
Staff) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025

Status: Full Time, Term Time (Does not usually work in school holidays)

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• In consultation with Advanced Learning and Learning Support Coordinator PreK-6, delivery

of learning programs for students

Document interactions with students and teachers
Formally report on student progress to the Advanced Learning and Learning Support

Coordinator PreK-6

Attend Staff Meetings and Professional Development as required
Other duties as requested by the Headmaster or Advanced Learning and Learning Support

Coordinator PreK-6

Person Profile:
A Christian person who is team oriented, discreet, able to exercise initiative, reliability, patience,
empathy, friendliness and is flexible and willing to consider further study if the opportunity presents.

Specific Job Skills:
• Work with students from Transition(Pre-K) to Year 6

Work with students individually or in small groups in the delivery of set teaching programs in

consultation with Advanced Learning and Learning Support Coordinator PreK-6

Document and report on students’ progress to the Advanced Learning and Learning Support

Coordinator PreK-6

Provide in-class support under the supervision of the class teacher. Duties may involve: one

on one student assistance, student assessments

Encourage student’s effort and self-worth
Team member of the Primary Advanced Learning and Learning Support Faculty and

engagement in professional development initiatives

Exam supervision for Special Provisions
Playground supervision
Under the guidance of the Advanced Learning and Learning Support Coordinator PreK-6

other duties may include preparation of teaching resources and clerical duties such as
recording keeping, photocopying and filing

Respect and understand the need for confidentiality
An understanding of the expectations relating to Child Protection in a school environment

Minimum Qualifications:
• Certificate III or above in Education Support OR matching experience with a willingness to

upgrade qualifications
• Hold a current Working with Children Check
