Specific Job Skills:
• Work with students from Transition(Pre-K) to Year 6
- Work with students individually or in small groups in the delivery of set teaching programs in
consultation with Advanced Learning and Learning Support Coordinator PreK-6
- Document and report on students’ progress to the Advanced Learning and Learning Support
Coordinator PreK-6
- Provide in-class support under the supervision of the class teacher. Duties may involve: one
on one student assistance, student assessments
- Encourage student’s effort and self-worth
- Team member of the Primary Advanced Learning and Learning Support Faculty and
engagement in professional development initiatives
- Exam supervision for Special Provisions
- Playground supervision
- Under the guidance of the Advanced Learning and Learning Support Coordinator PreK-6
other duties may include preparation of teaching resources and clerical duties such as
recording keeping, photocopying and filing
- Respect and understand the need for confidentiality
- An understanding of the expectations relating to Child Protection in a school environment
Minimum Qualifications:
• Certificate III or above in Education Support OR matching experience with a willingness to
upgrade qualifications
• Hold a current Working with Children Check
