Storeperson Operations
We are seeking a Storeperson Operations, who will support day‑to‑day activities involving semi‑active records across the Western Sydney Records Centre (WSRC), satellite repositories and client sites. This hands‑on role involves general physical labour, basic inventory system use and operating equipment such as forklifts, order pickers and fleet vehicles fitted with telematics and safety cameras.

Museums of History NSW is a state cultural institution, established under the Museums of History NSW Act 2022. It is an agency of the NSW Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport (DCITHS).
What you'll do with us:
Provide service and assist in all Operations activities relating to semi-active records within the Western Sydney Records Centre (WSRC), the Government Records Repository’s satellite repositories and offsite at client's premises.
The Storeperson Operations uses physical labour in delivering the requirements of the role and has proficiency in inventory software and the use of automated operating equipment such as Forklifts and/or Order Pickers, and the use of fleet vehicles equipped with telematics monitoring as well as internal and external orientated cameras.

What you need to do to apply

What you need to tell us - Targeted questions:
1. In this role, you’ll be required to use inventory systems, automated equipment such as forklifts or order pickers, and follow strict WHS procedures. Can you outline how you ensure safe and compliant work practices when operating equipment or handling physical items?
2. This role requires balancing physical tasks with responding to client enquiries and meeting service standards. How do you organise your workload when you have competing priorities, such as urgent retrievals, incoming deliveries and client requests?
Essential requirements of the role:

Current NSW Working With Children Check.

Current NSW (C) Class or equivalent Australian Driver’s licence.
-
Pass a pre-employment health assessment measuring fitness to walk up to 10 kms per day, ability to work at heights above 10 meters above floor level and move/lift and store boxes of up to 16 kg weight.

Comfortable and able to work at heights up to 10m.

Willingness to obtain an (LO) Order Picker Licence as needed.

Willingness to work across Sydney as a regular scheduled driver, an occasional backup driver across the greater Sydney metropolitan area, and a storeperson undertaking assigned duties daily within the MHNSW WSRC Kingswood, satellite storage locations, and client sites as directed.
