The Role

Every great customer experience starts with strong relationships, responsive support, and a team committed to delivering excellence. As a Sea Logistics Customer Care Supervisor, you'll be at the centre of creating these experiences, leading a team that ensures customers receive exceptional service throughout their logistics journey.

You'll combine customer expertise with operational leadership to support frontline customer care activities, strengthen customer relationships, and drive service excellence across your team. From onboarding new customers and resolving complex challenges to developing your team's capabilities and supporting business growth, you'll play a key role in ensuring both customer and business success.

This position is not just about supervising a team; it's about creating long-term value for customers and the business, aligning service delivery with customer expectations, and contributing to the growth and success of our sea logistics operations.

Responsibilities

Drive customer excellence: Build strong customer relationships, proactively resolve issues, and ensure customers receive exceptional support throughout their experience with Kuehne+Nagel.
Strengthen partnerships: Develop trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders, participating in customer reviews and acting as an advocate for customer needs.
Deliver solutions: Support the successful onboarding of new customers and ensure service requirements are effectively translated into operational execution.
Collaborate internally: Work closely with Customer Care, Operational Care, Finance, and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless customer experiences and support business growth.
Achieve team success: Lead, coach, and develop Customer Care team members, fostering a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous development.
Drive operational excellence: Ensure smooth handovers to Operational Care teams and support efficient service delivery that meets customer expectations.
Customer excellence: Analyse performance data, address customer concerns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable improvement initiatives that enhance service quality and efficiency.

Requirements

Strong experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably within international freight forwarding.
Decision-making and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Understanding of commercial principles and financial decision-making.
Ability to manage customer relationships while balancing operational and business requirements.
Strong collaboration skills and team-oriented mindset.
Expertise in customer management and stakeholder engagement.
Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities.
