Full Job Description

Complete Office Supplies Pty Ltd (COS) is Australia’s largest family-owned and operated workplace and education supplies business. Every day, COS deliver thousands of products to workplaces, schools, and hospitals across Australia, helping to keep them healthy, safe, and productive. COS is seeking a full-time Computer Network and Systems Engineer to support and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure and network systems, ensuring reliable operations for internal and external stakeholders. This position will be based in New South Wales.

Annual salary is $83,000 plus superannuation.

The Computer Network and Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Plan, configure, maintain, and support enterprise network and systems infrastructure across Windows and Apple Mac environments to ensure operational readiness and optimal performance.

2. Analyse and resolve complex network, hardware, software, and infrastructure issues across desktops, workstations, printers, and enterprise systems using troubleshooting techniques.

3. Utilise Jira ticketing system to manage, escalate, and document technical incidents, system faults, configuration changes, and resolution outcomes in accordance with IT service management procedures.

4. Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and identity and access management services to maintain secure and reliable enterprise systems.

5. Conduct systems analysis, configuration, and performance optimisation for Windows PC and Apple Mac environments to improve system stability and operational efficiency.

6. Configure and maintain VMware virtualisation environments, including system deployment, backup, disaster recovery, and data protection processes to ensure system availability and business continuity.

7. Maintain and administer enterprise IT infrastructure, including desktops, workstations, wiring, cabling, routers, switches, and critical computing services to support reliable network operations.

8. Manage endpoint administration using ManageEngine Endpoint Central, including remote support, software deployment, patch management, policy configuration, and enterprise device maintenance.

9. Monitor IT security and systems performance using Snipe-IT, Proofpoint, Datadog, and CrowdStrike Falcon to support asset management, threat detection, and infrastructure protection.

10. Assess and recommend hardware and infrastructure improvements, including laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripheral devices, to optimise performance, scalability, and operational cost efficiency.

Required qualifications and experience:

· A minimum bachelor’s in information technology or a related field

· At least 1 year of relevant experience in network and systems administration or IT infrastructure support

Ideal skills and qualities:

· Experience with Windows, Apple Mac, Active Directory, Azure AD, and VMware environments

· Strong troubleshooting, systems administration, and problem-solving skills

· Knowledge of enterprise networking, endpoint management, and IT security systems
