About the role
We're a leading MSSP delivering ICT security solutions to medium and large enterprise clients who rely on us for ongoing, proactive support. Our in-house technical team designs, implements, manages, secures and supports a broad range of networked infrastructure across the Sydney metropolitan area and regional NSW.
Most support is delivered remotely and proactively using modern systems administration tools, with phone and occasional on-site assistance as needed. You'll also contribute to client-specific projects involving the design and deployment of complex server and cloud solutions, such as:
- Microsoft 365 migrations
- Server installation and consolidation
- Hyper-V and VMware virtualisation
- Advanced firewalls and secure wireless
- WAN acceleration and SD-WAN solutions

Key responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls), ensuring the security and availability of client networks
- Set up and install software, and repair and maintain computer equipment, both in-office and on-site across Sydney metro and regional NSW
- Service and support clients while maintaining internal systems
- Identify and diagnose faults with client equipment, evaluate appropriate options (escalating to management, governance or operations where required), and deliver solutions to agreed service standards
- Analyse, develop, interpret and evaluate complex system design and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams when configuring and integrating computer systems
- Diagnose, monitor and resolve issues with client systems, connectivity and network performance to keep networks operating at optimal performance
- Assess and recommend improvements to network operations and to integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems
- Provide specialist support and troubleshooting for network problems and emergencies
- Deliver network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements
- Monitor network traffic, activity, capacity and usage to ensure ongoing integrity and performance
- Prepare and maintain procedures and documentation, including network inventory, fault diagnosis and resolution records, network enhancements and modifications, and maintenance instructions
- Assist with client demonstrations and evaluations, and help maintain a premium customer service experience for all clients
- Stay current with industry developments by participating in internal and external training sessions and meetings as part of ongoing professional development
What we're looking for
You must meet all of the following minimum requirements:
- Industry experience working with an MSSP or MSP
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with a genuine passion for service
- Excellent interpersonal skills and clear English communication
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Honesty, reliability and a positive, can-do attitude
- A strong drive to keep developing your ICT networking knowledge
- Solid working knowledge of one or more of: Microsoft 365, MS Exchange, DAGs, Hyper-V, SAN, RDS, SD-WAN, firewalls, network switching, cloud, and Azure
Highly regarded (but not essential)
- Experience supporting firewalls, switching, wireless and routing (Fortinet, Cisco, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with RMM and network monitoring tools (ConnectWise, LabTech, PRTG, SolarWinds, etc.)
- Industry certifications such as Fortinet NSE4, CCNA, Azure, ITIL or Network+, or relevant tertiary qualifications

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
