The River Service – Rear Loader Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the collection of residential household waste along the Woronora River frontages that are not accessible by road. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a specialised service that combines road and water-based operations, helping to deliver an essential service to a riverside community.
This full-time permanent position is part of our Waste Services Division, where you will support efficient waste management in line with our Waste Management Strategy. You will be required to operate a rear-loader garbage truck, a flat-bed open tray truck, and work aboard our boat vessel conducting the Woronora River Service. You will manage waste collection tasks and contribute to maintaining this unique local service and infrastructure.

- A current HR Class Drivers Licence is essential.
- A current Boat Drivers Licence is essential.
- Ability to successfully complete Council’s driver Verification of Competency (VOC) program within the first three months of employment.
- Proven experience in a similar role with manual handling capabilities.

- Package: $77,926 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation and all relevant allowances.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time, Monday to Friday. 38 hours per week, 9-day fortnight. There are two opportunities available for this role.
