About:

Century is one of Australia’s leading entertainment businesses, with over 30 years of experience specialising in venue management, live events and touring, as well as artist representation.

We operate and manage a wide array of Sydney’s best live entertainment venues, including the iconic Enmore Theatre, Metro Theatre, The Factory Theatre, The Comedy Store Sydney, The Concourse Chatswood, Darling Quarter Theatre and The Mighty Vic in Newcastle.

The Role:

As an integral member of the Century Venues Event team, the Ticketing and Event Coordinator will be working with the bookings, marketing and operations teams to facilitate the successful delivery of events in our venues by providing support across all aspects of the event cycle including ticketing set up and monitoring, logistics, event delivery & settlement.

The role, based in Sydney, is an exciting opportunity to start or progress your career in the live entertainment industry.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Ticketing: Setting up ticketing either by building the event in our in house ticketing software or liaising with our ticketing partners, managing inventory of sales, holds and guest-lists
Logistics: Working with our clients, promoters, tour managers, caterers and production managers in order to advance shows.
Event Delivery: Coordinator with all key event stakeholders to create an event plan and disseminate information as required. Provide event briefings.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Skills:

Strong organisation: Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, follow processes, and manage large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment
Clear communication: Strong written and verbal skills
Strong computer literacy: With experience using the full Microsoft Suite, event and HR software
Strong work ethic
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
Ability to interpret and work within budgets
Problem-solving and adaptability

Highly Desirable Skills:

At least 2 years working in live events or similar administrative role
Knowledge of live events
Knowledge and understanding of event ticketing
A basic understanding of staging, technical requirements of performance, including sound and lighting requirements
Knowledge of corporate events
