About the Role
This hands-on role is ideal for someone who genuinely loves customer service, account management, and helping others.
Your role will include day-to-day customer service tasks as well as managing our inbound private group request channels. You’ll spend roughly 50% of your time directly supporting our customers via phone and Zendesk, and 50% managing our group booking enquiries, ensuring an exceptional experience for customers, including corporate clients. A focus will be on nurturing relationships with our existing corporate clients as well as outreach to clients as required.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, high-growth team and will play a key role in shaping how our customers experience ClassBento. You will ensure that you consistently uphold high service standards across key customer touchpoints both internally and externally.
This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday) with some flexibility for the right person. The position is hybrid, requiring you to work from our Chatswood office 2–3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Group Booking Management: Oversee private group requests, ensuring they are handled promptly to maintain high conversion rates and drive revenue (corporate events and private celebrations).
- Teacher Liaison: Ensure our teachers provide prompt, helpful responses to group booking enquiries.
- Customer Support: Act as an intermediary to ensure customers have all the information they need to complete their bookings, including following up with them as needed to win sales.
- Account Management: Nurture corporate accounts and identify/convert opportunities to sell our workshops and gift cards.
- Inbound Customer Support: Deliver exceptional customer service across inbound channels, primarily email/Zendesk and phone, maintaining our 5-star average rating on Google and other platforms.
- Conflict Resolution: Resolve queries and manage issues or conflicts with customers and teachers, with professionalism and empathy. Work closely with our account managers to find fair, win-win outcomes when issues arise.
- Hit Performance KPIs: Demonstrate best practices across the team, ensuring SLAs and group request conversion metrics are consistently met.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a full time customer service and/or account management role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; enthusiastic, outgoing, and confident.
- Adaptable & resilient: We are a rapidly growing company and you’ll need to be comfortable with change.
- You need to be able to calmly handle challenging situations or conflict without letting it get you down.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management - you don't drop the ball.
- Growth-oriented, continually seeking better ways to solve problems and deliver results.
- A supportive team player who enjoys working both in-person and remotely.
