The role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Surveillance Operator to join Crown Sydney. As a valued member of our team, you’ll be helping to ensure that the safety and welfare of our guests, visitors, residents and colleagues are always maintained by conducting surveillance activities with the highest level of integrity and compliance.
You’ll provide technical and electronic monitoring of the Crown Sydney property across daily operations, whilst working closely with our Gaming, Hotels, Food & Beverage, Events and other Support Services departments, including the Security Operations team.

To be considered for this role, you’ll participate in a 24/7 rotating roster that includes day, overnight, weekend and public holiday shifts. We provide predictable rosters that are published in advance to support work/life balance, and provide the chance for you to enjoy life outside of work!
You’ll be:
- Maintaining security and surveillance monitoring and alarms and remaining vigilant for safety, emergency security and integrity incidents or issues across the property
- Supporting critical incident and emergency responses and assisting Security Operations teams with command, control, coordination and communication protocols
- Identifying and reporting key incidents, anomalies and key info relating to illegal or suspicious behaviour by patrons, visitors & staff
- Proactively identify, manage and escalate excluded persons or other persons of interest requiring action
- Monitoring and analysing behavioural patterns to identify risks or anomalies
- Analysing, investigating and providing accurate advice on security and surveillance incidents
- Completing audits of gaming equipment and detecting manufacturing defects or items of equipment that have been tampered with
You’ll bring:
- A 1AE Security Licence or be willing to obtain one
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Surveillance role is beneficial (gaming/hospitality environment highly regarded)
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills with ability to work across multiple systems and platforms
- Strong aptitude in casino maths or relevant qualifications highly desirable
- Exceptional probity clearance and ability to obtain a Casino Special Employee Licence – Category B
