We provide diversified solutions and services that fulfil the various needs of the corporation and telecom operators and we are looking for a Telecommunication Technician to join our diversified team.
About the Role:
This role will involve the execution of the following duties and responsibilities but are not limited:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems, including 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies.
- Conducting fault diagnostics, replacing defective equipment, and performing system upgrades.
- Configuring, testing, and commissioning radio base stations, power systems, and network components.
- Work with fiber-optic cables, modems, routers, and switches to maintain communication lines.
- Performing PIM, VSWR, and Sweep Testing, as well as site investigations and troubleshooting.
- Preparing and finalizing documentation for each site and planning work schedules.
- Understanding WHS requirements, including JSEA, SWMS, and Risk Assessments.
- Adhere to safety and compliance standards, including cabling regulations.
- Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Providing technical advice and ongoing operational support for network optimization.
Successful candidates will have the following
· TPG, Telstra, and Optus 3G/4G/5G experience highly regarded.
· 2 years of work experience within the Telecommunication industry.
· Experienced in Nokia and Ericsson.
· BTS install and commissioning experience.
· Proven experience in completing handover documentation on-site.
· Experience in fault finding.
· RF Electromagnetic Radiation Hazard (RADHAZ) Awareness;
· Optus, Vodafone, and Telstra online induction.
· High risk rigging licence.
· Construction White Card.
· First Aid certification.
· Driving Licence.
