We are seeking an experienced Telco Technician to join our team.
Role responsibilities:
- Install and maintain WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G/NBN technologies.
- Install radio base stations, terminating Hybriflex Cables and Coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers, combiners.
- Upgrade or install DC power rack systems including rectifiers, batteries and load testing. Ability to configure and capture status for HOP's.
- Troubleshoot, replace defective equipment and monitor site performance
- Software installation, testing and commissioning of sites
- Installation, testing and commissioning of wireless network equipment.
- Order and procure the required equipment, materials and tools required for site installation.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, technical and design documents, method of procedures and other installation guides for the effective delivery of projects.
- Work well alongside the riggers and other team members to ensure that works are completed to the highest of standards.
- Able to locate faults in telecommunication equipment.
- Complete HOP documents
Required experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Previous experience as a Telco Field Technician, with expertise in TPG/Optus /Telstra 5G and NBN Fixed Wireless systems.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications networks, equipment, and cabling.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering or a similar field.
- Ability to understand and implement RAN, RF, and Transmission designs.
- Installation of Ericsson/Nokia radio telecommunications equipment and cabling on NBN, Telstra, Optus or other mobile network operator’s sites/structure.
- Proven experience within a network rollout discipline.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $77,000.00 per year
