Would you like to be part of a team focused on helping Telco, Media, Entertainment, Gaming, and Sport businesses succeed? Do you have the business acumen and relationship-building skills necessary to motivate a cross-functional team, including sales, solutions architecture, partners, and professional services, to deliver business growth for AWS and our customers?

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to focus on working with Telco, Media, Entertainment, Gaming, and Sport in Australia. The Account Manager should be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a coverage plan and consistently deliver on customer outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess both a strong sales and technical background, with deep knowledge of cloud and AI, enabling them to drive engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. The Account Manager will be an exceptionally strong analytical thinker who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and has very strong communication and presentation skills.

Key job responsibilities

Drive adoption to meet or exceed targets
Develop and execute against a strategic plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust pipeline of value based opportunities
Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS cloud and AI services
Analyze metrics data from your accounts to help evolve your strategy
Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement
Work with partners to manage joint engagement opportunities
Assist customer in identifying use cases for priority adoption of AWS as well as best practices implementations
Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals
Experience creating and implementing long-term transformational account strategies in a customer-facing role or equivalent
Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels
5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of key technology and market trends
Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS, or experience with project management
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience in one or more of the following areas: telco, media, entertainment, gaming, wagering, sports or digital marketplaces
