Full Job Description

Sydney Hiel Korean Church is a Christian church committed to proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and serving the local community. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pastoral Assistant to support and develop our children's and young adults ministries.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will assist with the planning and delivery of ministry programs, Bible studies, discipleship activities, worship services, outreach programs, and pastoral support for children, young adults, and their families.

Plan, coordinate, and deliver children's and young adults ministry programs.
Prepare and lead Bible studies, discipleship programs, and ministry activities.
Support worship services, church events, retreats, camps, and outreach programs.
Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to children, young adults, and their families.
Develop ministry resources and teaching materials consistent with the church's beliefs and values.
Assist with volunteer coordination and ministry administration.
Work closely with church leadership to support the spiritual growth of the congregation.
Organise special events, camps, holiday programs, and outreach activities for children and families.
Liaise with parents and caregivers regarding ministry programs and children's participation.
Maintain ministry records and assist with administrative duties as required.
Ensure compliance with child safety policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Theology, Ministry, Divinity, Christian Studies, or a closely related field.
Fluent Korean language skills are essential.
Demonstrated understanding of Christian doctrine and ministry practice.
Previous experience in church ministry, discipleship, or pastoral support.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
