Full Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Male Disability Support Workers who have extensive knowledge working with Extreme Autism / Complex Aggressive behaviour clients .

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide social support and companionship to individuals with disabilities and autism.
Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal care, domestic duties, and medication assistance.
Support clients with mobility, transportation, appointments, and community participation.
Encourage independence, confidence, and life skills development while promoting dignity and respect.
Assist with household tasks and maintain a safe, supportive environment.
Support clients in social, recreational, and community engagement activities.
Follow individual support plans and behavioral support strategies.
Build positive relationships with clients, families, and allied health professionals.
Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reporting where required.
Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and emotional support needs of clients are met at all times.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualification: Diploma or Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent within Australia.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Current NDIS screening check and WWCC.
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable car with insurance for transportation of clients.
Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful attitude towards people with disabilities.
Honest, reliable, and committed to work unsupervised in 1:1 environment.
Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in disability support is highly regarded.
Clean Updated Police Certificate
Verifiable work referees
ABN is required
Immediate start would be ideal.

Knowledge of disability support practices and NDIS guidelines.
Experience with complex needs or behavioural support is a plus.
