The Role

We're looking for a qualified and experienced Swimming Instructor to join our team on a casual basis. You'll be delivering group and one-on-one lessons for beginner to intermediate swimmers, helping students build confidence and skills at their own pace. Patience, encouragement, and cultural sensitivity are at the heart of how we teach — some of our members are accessing aquatic programs for the first time, and your ability to create a safe, respectful, and empowering experience will make all the difference.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver swimming lessons for women and children of all ages and abilities
Assess student progress and adapt teaching to individual needs
Maintain a safe pool environment and respond to emergencies as required
Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and centre staff
Keep accurate records of student attendance and progress

What We're Looking For

Current Swimming Teacher qualification (AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety)
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
Working With Children Check
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable and punctual with flexible availability
Alignment with our values of inclusivity, privacy, and community
