The Role
We're looking for qualified, experienced Swimming Instructors to join our team on a casual basis, primarily delivering our school swim lesson program. You'll teach small groups (8–12 students) working alongside a second instructor, across a program of 25-75 students per day. Beyond schools, you may also support our general group lessons for customers of all ages and abilities. Encouragement, enthusiasm, and cultural sensitivity are at the heart of how we teach, and your ability to create a safe, respectful, and engaging experience will make all the difference.
Availability
- This role requires weekday morning availability.
- We are currently recruiting for two specific needs:
- Female instructors — ongoing weekday mornings
- Male instructors — Friday mornings 8:30am–11:30am, evenings 5:30pm-9:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver swimming lessons for school children of all ages and abilities
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching to individual needs
- Maintain a safe pool environment and respond to emergencies as required
- Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and centre staff
What We're Looking For
- Current Swimming Teacher qualification
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Working With Children Check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual
