Full Job Description

About our company:

Haveli (RR Tamber Pty Ltd) is seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining consistent presentation standards, and supporting the efficient operation of the kitchen.

Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation (depending upon experience & skills)

Role: Full time

Location: Stanhope Gardens NSW 2768

Main responsibilities

· Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with the restaurant’s recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.

· Complete daily food preparation, including cutting ingredients, preparing sauces, marinating food and organising cooking stations.

· Cook meals to order during service while maintaining quality, consistency and appropriate service times.

· Check the freshness and quality of ingredients and ensure food is stored, labelled and rotated correctly.

· Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to coordinate orders and manage busy service periods.

· Maintain clean and organised preparation areas, equipment, utensils and storage spaces.

· Follow food safety, hygiene, allergen and temperature-control procedures.

· Assist with stock monitoring, food deliveries, portion control and reducing food wastage.

Qualifications & Skills

· Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, Commercial Cookery or a relevant equivalent qualification.

· At least one year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment.

· Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods and kitchen procedures.

· Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong attention to detail and presentation.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Reliable, punctual, creative and passionate about food.

· Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays where required.
