This exciting opportunity will see you work within a highly regarded multidisciplinary Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) service, supporting patients with complex chronic conditions throughout their treatment journey while helping shape the future of specialist pharmacy services.

Work as part of Liverpool Hospital's multidisciplinary IBD service, providing expert medicines management and patient‑centred care
Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in dedicated IBD clinics
Support patients with complex chronic conditions through education, treatment optimisation, and ongoing clinical review
Contribute to the quality use of medicines, including supporting access to specialist therapies and biologic treatments
Play a key role in service development, innovation, and quality improvement initiatives within a growing specialist service

We're looking for a motivated and patient‑focused pharmacist who enjoys working in a specialised clinical environment and is committed to delivering high‑quality care through collaboration, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Enjoys working within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to collaborative patient care
Adaptable and accountable, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high‑quality service delivery
Demonstrates excellent communication skills when providing clear and practical advice to patients, clinicians, and stakeholders
Strong knowledge of PBS requirements, medicines access programs, and specialist therapy access pathways
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail in medication access, procurement, and documentation processes

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

Full Pharmacist registration with AHPRA with no restrictions to the scope of practice.
A minimum of 3 years experience as a registered pharmacist working in hospital pharmacy AND EITHER a minimum of 12 months experience working as a clinical pharmacist in in the nominated specialty area (or a similar specialty area) OR a Relevant postgraduate qualifications and a minimum of 6 months experience in the nominated specialty area (or a similar specialty area).
Describe a situation where you supported a patient who was hesitant or concerned about commencing a specialist therapy. How did you approach the discussion and what was the impact on the patient?
Provide an example of your experience managing patient access to medicines through PBS, SAS and/or Medicines Access Programs. What challenges did you encounter, and how did your actions help ensure timely and appropriate access to treatment for the patient?
