Sydney Next Church is a growing Korean Christian church based in Sydney, Australia. Due
to continued growth in our congregation, expansion of our ministries, and increasing ministry
demands, we are seeking to appoint two full-time Associate Pastors to support the Senior
Pastor and leadership team.
The successful candidates will play key roles in pastoral ministry, discipleship, worship
services, ministry development, and church operations. While both positions will provide
pastoral leadership and congregational care, each position will have a distinct area of focus.
Position 1: Associate Pastor (Pastoral Care and Media Ministry)
Key responsibilities include:
Providing pastoral care, counselling, mentoring, and discipleship to church members
Leading Bible studies, prayer meetings, and small group ministries
Assisting with worship services and church events
Coordinating and overseeing media, broadcasting, and online ministry
Managing live streaming, audio and visual systems, and digital ministry content
Training and supervising volunteer media teams
Supporting online outreach and digital evangelism initiatives
Additional desirable experience for Position 1:
Experience in media, broadcasting, audio engineering, live streaming, or digital
ministry
Position 2: Associate Pastor (Pastoral Care and Ministry Administration)
Key responsibilities include:
Providing pastoral care, counselling, mentoring, and discipleship to church members
Assisting the Senior Pastor in worship services and ministry programs
Coordinating church administration and ministry operations
Planning and implementing church programs, leadership development, and
educational ministries
Supporting mission, outreach, and community engagement activities
Liaising with ministry leaders, volunteers, and church committees
Assisting with strategic ministry planning and overall church management
Additional desirable experience for Position 2:
Experience in church administration, ministry coordination, and organisational
leadership
Essential Requirements
Ordained minister with recognised theological qualifications
Demonstrated experience in pastoral ministry and church leadership
Strong preaching, teaching, and discipleship skills
Ability to work effectively within a multicultural church environment
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Korean language fluency is required
Skills and Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Divinity
At least 2 years of pastoral experience
Ability to work collaboratively with the Senior Pastor, staff, and church leaders.
Organisational skills and flexibility to serve across multiple ministry areas.
Upholds moral integrity and models a life of prayer and obedience to God’s Word.
