St Alban’s Anglican Church Lindfield is a growing evangelical and multicultural church with many exciting opportunities to make Christ known in our rapidly changing and growing local community.
To continue to grow in number and maturity, we are seeking a full-time Associate Minister who loves seeing people become and grow as disciples of Jesus, is committed to the mission of the local church, and has a passion to equip and lead others in ministry.
1. Your Purpose
Your purpose is to see more and more people in our local community become and live as mature disciples of Jesus.
2. Your Responsibilities
You will achieve this purpose by:
- Assisting our Senior Minister in the formation and implementation of strategies
- Proactively contributing to the health and cohesion of our collaborative staff team
- Regularly preaching and teaching God’s Word
- Pastoring one of our Sunday congregations
- Promoting two of the essential characteristics of mature disciples across our church (deep in the Word, loving God, in community, serving and on mission)[i] as agreed with our Senior Minister.
Ongoing attention to personal Christian growth, ministry development, and professional standards are expected and encouraged in all members of our team.
3. Your Convictions, Character and Competencies
Candidates for this position will have:
- A commitment to Reformed, evangelical theology
- Godly character - especially grace and humility
- A passionate love for Jesus, his people and the lost
- A demonstrated ability and experience in pastoring a congregation
- Character, experience and the desire to serve under our Senior Minister
- Commitment to abide by Faithfulness in Service
- Three or more years of full-time theological training.
This position is full-time and is offered with remuneration and benefits as articulated in the Sydney Anglican Diocese Remuneration Guidelines, including provision and leave for professional development.
