• Permanent Part Time role (24 hours per fortnight across 3 shifts)
• Located at Peninsula University Hospital, Frankston
• Classification: Grade 1, Year 1-5 (HS1)* plus super

The Team & Role
The Ward Clerk reports directly to the Nurse Unit Manager and is responsible for presenting a professional, welcoming and informative reception to patients and visitors within the unit. Additionally they provide efficient and effective general clerical support for the Unit NUM’s , Perioperative Services Manager and staff respecting confidentiality at all times.

Skills & Experience Required

Experience in administration

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Addresses priority tasks first

Understands the purpose of, and is able to use, common software applications and email

Sets personal standards of excellence and measures and delivers outcomes in a timely manner

Demonstrated competency in medical terminology

Excellent customer service

Must be able to work all shifts applicable to department and needs.

Be able to work and communicate handovers with team members

Maintain privacy and confidentiality at all time
