Role:

Joy and Joy Catering stands out as the Gold Coast's most sought-after catering and event company, specialising in a wide range of events, from corporate gatherings to fine-dining experiences and canapé events. We pride ourselves on using only the finest and freshest ingredients, innovating in the kitchen.

As the Sous chef, you will assume a pivotal role in assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, managing inventory, and ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. At Joy and Joy Catering, we place significant emphasis on team dynamics and are actively seeking a candidate who resonates with their exceptional team culture. We proudly supports OzHarvest and actively participates in initiatives aimed at reducing food waste and making a positive impact on the lives of the less fortunate.

Key responsibilities:

Previous experience as a Chef, or in a similar role (minimum 3 years)
Proficiency in diverse culinary techniques, cuisines, cooking methods, and flavour profiles.
Proven ability to manage high-volume kitchen operations, including controlling food and labour costs and inventory.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Must have a relevant Diploma qualification.
Additional certifications in food safety, culinary arts, or related areas are advantageous.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transport.
