Are you a skilled Orthopaedic Surgeon eager to make a difference in patient care and contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment? The Limestone Coast Local Health Network is looking for an experienced Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our dynamic team working across Mount Gambier, Naracoorte and Millicent health sites. In this key role, you will provide exceptional clinical services, contribute to multidisciplinary care, and shape the next generation of healthcare professionals through teaching and research.
As a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your expertise in orthopaedic services will directly impact the quality of care provided to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality orthopaedic services in alignment with professional standards.
- Provide clinical leadership and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Engage in teaching medical officers, interns, medical students, and allied health staff.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement activities.
- Contribute to research and continuous medical education.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registerable with the Medical Board of Australia as Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
- Proven experience in providing orthopaedic services within a referral network.
- Commitment to quality improvement and teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience in research and teaching
- Subspecialty interests are desirable with a requirement for both upper and lower limb fellowship experience as well as an interest in foot & ankle. We are not a spinal centre.
