Full Job Description

Location: Ceduna, South Australia.

Status: Full Time working 38 hours per week, contract to 30 June 2027

Annual Salary: from $88,090 to $94,788 per annum based on full time

Hourly Rate: from $44.58 to $47.97

About the Position

The Case Manager for the Ceduna Homelessness Service is responsible for providing support in accordance with funding requirements for clients referred to or arriving at Centacare Catholic Country SA’s Homelessness Service in Ceduna.

As a Case Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Provide initial assessment and case management using the Homelessness Assessment Tool.
Develop and maintain client case plans, ensuring culturally safe and client-focused support.
Assist clients to overcome barriers to sustainable housing and build independent living skills.
Undertake home visits, tenancy support, advocacy, and referrals to relevant services.
Collaborate with SA Housing Trust and community partners.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development within a supportive team environment.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

Experience providing support services to individuals and families. This may include engaging in community service work, or direct client involvement.
Experience in providing case management.
Knowledge of issues affecting the Aboriginal community which threatens and impacts on family wellbeing.
Knowledge of issues relating to family violence.
Knowledge of issues impacting on homelessness.
Demonstrated high communication skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly confidential manner.
Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and also in a collaborative manner.
Demonstrated high level of ability in the use of Microsoft Office and Information Technology.

The following competencies are desirable for this position:

Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent.

Requirements of the role:

Hold (or willingness to obtain) a current DHS Working With Children Check *
Hold (or a willingness to obtain) a National Criminal History Record Check (Police Check) *
Hold a current South Australian Driver’s License (minimum Provisional License)
