Full Job Description

Fixed Term (Until 23 June 2027) / Full Time
Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
Pro Rata amount of $83,228 – $89,006 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 2) + Superannuation
Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

Rockhampton Regional Council is committed to providing exceptional services and maintaining the beautiful parks and gardens that our community enjoy.

In this role you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Council’s Open Spaces and Recreation section by providing high-quality administrative and customer service support.

Working closely with the Supervisor Parks Support and the broader team, you will be responsible for coordinating work orders, supporting purchasing and park bookings, and acting as a first point of contact for customers, community groups and internal stakeholders.

This role suits a proactive and organised administrator who can work autonomously, manage competing priorities, handle confidential matters with discretion, and contribute to continuous improvement while helping ensure Council’s parks and community facilities operate efficiently and effectively.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
