As a General Medicine Specialist, you will provide comprehensive, evidence-based inpatient and outpatient medical services to patients across the Griffith community and broader Murrumbidgee region. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the ongoing development of a safe, patient-centred health service.
The position offers the opportunity to work across a broad scope of General Medicine practice while providing clinical leadership, supervision and education to junior medical officers and other healthcare professionals. You will actively contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, risk management programs, and participate in the on-call roster to support the provision of safe and effective services.

Remuneration depends on your appointment type, award classification, and scope of practice. The figures below are indicative only and represent what may be earned under applicable NSW Health awards and local arrangements.
- Staff Specialists receive the full entitlements of permanent NSW Health employment, including superannuation, leave benefits, salary packaging, relocation support (where applicable), and access to incentives.
- Base salaries are determined under the Staff Specialists (State) Award, with indicative ranges from approximately $270,247 to $333,491 per annum + superannuation, depending on experience and allowances (based on a 40 hour week).

- Holds registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Physician General Medicine and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Medicine at the role delineation of the service.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
- Demonstrated commitment to behaviours which align to the NSW Health CORE values and MLHD Values, goals and strategies.
