Full Job Description

About the Role

The Little Olive is seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full- time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality meals, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards in line with Australian regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and prepare menus in consultation with management
Cook and present food to a consistently high standard
Order and manage stock, ingredients, and kitchen supplies
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen in line with food safety regulations
Monitor food quality and consistency

Skills and Experience Required

Relevant trade qualification in commercial cookery (e.g. Certificate III/IV) or equivalent industry experience
Demonstrated experience working as a Chef or in a senior kitchen role
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management
Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong communication and team leadership skills

Salary

$79,499 per annum plus superannuation
