Job Title: Baker / Pastry Chef

About Us:
At Soulte, we focus on creating fresh, high-quality breads, pastries, savoury items and café-style products in a fast-paced and friendly environment. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Baker / Pastry Chef to join our team and support our expanding menu.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries and baked goods to a high standard
Prepare items such as croissants, danishes, focaccias, pastries, savoury items and other bakery products
Assist with developing and introducing new menu items on a monthly basis
Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across all bakery products
Support daily bakery and kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment
Ensure all food is prepared in line with food safety and hygiene standards
Assist with stock control, food preparation and maintaining a clean work area
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth operations
Follow recipes, production schedules and instructions from senior kitchen staff/management

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role is required
Knowledge of breads, pastries, croissants, danishes, focaccias and savoury bakery items
Ability to create and suggest new menu items
Strong attention to detail and consistency in product quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Flexibility to work different shifts, including early mornings and weekends if required
