We are seeking a confident, creative, and committed Early Childhood Teacher to lead our preschool program for children aged 3–5 years. About the Role:
You will lead a small, close-knit team consisting of a trainee educator and an additional needs support worker. Your role will focus on mentoring and guiding your team, designing a rich educational program, and fostering an engaging learning space where each child’s unique journey is honoured.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire your preschool room team, mentoring and supporting the professional growth of your colleagues
Design, document and deliver a high-quality educational program aligned with the EYLF and informed by observations, developmental needs and interests of children
Promote school readiness through intentional teaching practices and engaging experiences
Conduct and participate in weekly team meetings and critical reflections
Create an inclusive, supportive, and joyful learning environment using the classroom as the third teacher
Foster respectful, open partnerships with families and the wider community
Participate in the planning and execution of innovative excursions that enhance learning and align with project teaching
About the Environment:
Our preschool classroom is beautifully appointed and supports a maximum of 20 children, currently operating below capacity for optimal educator-to-child engagement. The learning environment includes:

What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
Experience in leading a room and mentoring educators, including trainees
Confidence in programming, documentation and school readiness planning
Strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy
Excellent communication, leadership and reflective practice skills
Current WWCC, First Aid & CPR, and Child Protection training
