Community Connections Australia (CCA) is seeking experienced dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Engadine. You would be supporting our people to become active and visible rather than labelled for their differences, helping to increase their experience, choices and decision making to become contributors within our community.
As this is a high support role, we are seeking experienced Support Workers in the community services sector for the Shire area to assist our people in achieving their independent living goals, by providing support with their daily living activities at home or elsewhere in the community.
Your Responsibilities include:
- A focus on supporting people's individual goals and wishes
- Supporting independence through effective role modelling and teaching skills acquisition
- Assisting people with personal care (including: showering and toileting), catch up experiential learning opportunities and involvement in community activities
- Assisting people’s skills acquisition for household and domestic management
- Personal care assistance as required and a female is preferred
You must have:
- Experience as a Support Worker (High Support)
- Strong communication skills
- Problem solving skills and energy
- Ability to follow plans and directives
- Drivers Licence
- Your own fully insured motor vehicle
- Police check
