Solar & Battery Installer (Full-Time)

About Us

SmartHouseSolar is a growing solar and battery Retailer company dedicated to helping homeowners and businesses transition to clean, reliable energy. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, safety, and delivering an outstanding customer experience on every job.

We're looking for a skilled, accredited Solar & Battery Installer to join our team on a full-time basis.

The Role

As a Solar & Battery Installer, you'll be responsible for the safe and professional installation of residential and/or commercial solar PV and battery storage systems, from mounting panels through to system commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Install solar panels, inverters, and battery storage systems in line with Australian Standards and manufacturer specifications
Carry out electrical wiring, cabling, and connections associated with solar and battery installations
Conduct system testing, fault-finding, and commissioning
Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards (AS/NZS), CEC guidelines, and WHS/safety regulations
Liaise professionally with customers on-site, explaining system operation where required
Complete accurate job documentation, compliance certificates, and installation records
Work safely at heights and follow all site safety procedures
Collaborate with the installation team and site supervisors to ensure jobs are completed on time and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

SAA accreditation for solar (and battery, if applicable) installation — current and verifiable with Australian government.
Individual electrical contractor licence Holder — current and able to be verified
Proven hands-on experience installing residential and/or commercial solar and battery systems
Solid understanding of relevant Australian Standards (e.g. AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 3000) and safety requirements
Current driver's licence (own reliable transport preferred)
Working at heights and/or other relevant safety tickets (highly regarded)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude
Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work may be required)
