About us

Evolve Mind Solutions Pty Ltd is an Australian software company building AI-assisted tax advisory tools for registered practitioners. Our platform, AdvisoryStack, produces draft, ATO-aligned advisory content that a registered practitioner then reviews, corrects and signs off before it goes anywhere near a client.

We are not trying to automate practitioners out of the process. The opposite: TPB(GS) 55/2026 makes clear that using AI does not reduce or transfer a practitioner's obligations under the Code of Professional Conduct, and that the practitioner remains accountable for the output. Our product is built around that reality, and this role is the part of it that matters most.

The role

This position has two streams. Depending on your background and availability, you may do one or both.

1. Technical review and sign-off (core)

You review AI-drafted tax advisory content before it is released. You check it against legislation, ATO rulings and current guidance; you correct, rewrite or reject anything that does not hold up; and you record the basis for your conclusion so the review is properly evidenced.

2. Client advisory and compliance (growing)

You work directly with our clients on tax return and BAS/IAS preparation, lodgement and advisory questions — structuring, deductibility, GST treatment, small business concessions, and similar.

What you'll do

Review draft advisory outputs for technical accuracy, currency and completeness, and approve, amend or reject them
Document the reasoning behind each review decision so the file stands up to scrutiny
Identify recurring errors and weak spots and feed them back to us so the system improves
Help build and maintain our review checklists, technical standards and escalation rules
Prepare and/or review individual and entity tax returns, BAS and IAS
Advise clients on day-to-day tax and GST questions, and escalate matters outside scope
Keep your technical knowledge current and flag legislative or ATO guidance changes that affect our content

About you

Essential

Current registration with the Tax Practitioners Board as a registered tax agent or registered BAS agent (please include your registration number in your application)
Experience in Australian public practice, tax or business services
Strong working knowledge of ITAA 1936/1997, the GST Act, and the TASA Code of Professional Conduct
Confident writing a clear technical conclusion — and equally confident saying "this is wrong, here's why"
Meticulous about documentation and record keeping
Professional indemnity insurance in place, or willing to work under cover we arrange

Highly regarded

CA, CPA or IPA membership, or Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA)
Familiarity with TPB(GS) 55/2026 and TPB(GS) 53/2024 (supervision, competency and quality management)
Depth in one or more of: Division 7A, small business CGT concessions, FBT, SMSF, trusts
Experience with Xero, MYOB, and ATO Online services for agents
Genuine interest in AI tooling — you will directly shape how the product behaves
