Intermediate Accountant

We are looking for a people person, someone who enjoys client interaction and is happy to be front facing within our business.

We are a small firm based in East Victoria Park, supporting our small business clients to remodel and secure their financial future.

This full-time role is crucial to the growth of the team and business. There is room to progress and up skill your own professional development.

The Position:

We are looking for a dynamic team member to undertake key responsibilities which include:

Preparing business financial statements and company income tax returns using Xero
Preparation of quarterly business activity statements
Individual tax returns

How To Make The Shortlist?

You must be positive, highly motivated and have a friendly personality
Can do attitude, you take initiative and like to problem-solve
Have a high attention to detail and accuracy
Be articulate, and well-spoken with excellent written/oral communication skills as you will need to communicate effectively with our clients
You can handle deadlines. You will need to be organised and have a good handle on time management. It’s a busy working environment and we need you to be a self-starter.
We are looking for someone who likes to keep up to date with industry standards, implement procedures and bring new ideas to the table to boost our team’s efficiency

The successful candidate selection criteria:-

2-4 years experience in a public accounting practice
Ideally would have completed CA/CPA/IPA
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Proficient with XERO accounting software

Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
