Junior Casual Receptionist
Overview
The Lymphoedema Lounge & Breast Oncology Therapy is looking for a friendly, reliable and organised Junior Casual Receptionist to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a professional allied health environment while developing their administration and customer service skills.
The Role
The position will primarily involve Friday shifts, with additional casual hours available to provide reception coverage when our Lead Receptionist is on leave.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and providing friendly, professional customer service
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Booking and managing patient appointments
- Taking payments and processing transactions
- Completing basic administration and data entry
- Assisting with patient paperwork and filing
- Supporting the clinical team with general reception duties
- Helping maintain a welcoming, organised reception environment
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, warm and confident communicating with people of all ages
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Professional and respectful when handling confidential patient information
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Ability to multi-task, be proactive and have effective time management skills
- Flexible to assist with additional shifts when our Lead Receptionist is away
Previous reception or healthcare experience is not essential. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to build their skills and experience.
Hours - Casual position
Regular availability required on Fridays (8:30AM – 4:30PM), with additional hours offered from time to time to cover annual leave and other absences of our Lead Receptionist.
